The specs and manual of the MB say it has the Realtek S1200S HD Audio chip. I don't know if my system supports EAX 4.0 or older (not that I know what it is anyways), nor do I know if Soundback and its changes would even matter if I'm using my Logitech G933, which is separate from the NVIDIA and RealTek listings and uses its own USB soundcard/transmitter. 1 I am having a problem with the HD Audio driver/app on my new ASUS TUF x570 Pro motherboard. An Asus Xonar DG or DGX sound card (20-40) will give your Win PC just as good (and Im assuming better) Dolby Headphone surround sound as the DSS. Ensure you checked the Turn on 7.1 virtual surround sound option. Under the Spatial sound format, click on the dropdown menu and select Windows Sonic for Headphones. In Device Manager, there's only "NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM)," "NVIDIA High Definition Audio," "Realtek High Definition Audio," and "Logitech G933 Gaming Headset." Then select Open Volume Mixer, click the Speakers icon to open Speakers Properties, and switch to the Spatial sound tab. Well, my PC was built in 2014, and I have no idea what sound card I have. However, in looking for more info about the enigmatic buffer settings, I found a Steam post of someone coming to the conclusion that the program only works on sound cards that have hardware support for EAX 4.0 and older, otherwise it does a bad software emulation, which I do not want. While the virtual options arent too bad for music when. So I went ahead and downloaded the program and enabled various games. The Dolby Headphone and associated Virtual effects offered do not seem to quite be my cup of tea. So.My Logitech G933 headset is capable of playing 7.1 surround sound, but in looking at some of the games I'd like to use it with (Half-Life 2, Fallout: New Vegas, etc.), it appears that they require the use of RealTek Soundback in order to restore their 7.0/7.1 surround sound capabilities. I just switched from my old pc on win 7 to a new one on win 11 ( 5900x on asus dark hero )īut after instaling all driver from asus, I didn't see any realtek audio manager, so I decided to try find it online elsewhere. Hi, I need some help from someone really good with audio driver
